Web Design & Development
As a user gets closer to a purchase, we try to help them decide whether product protection is a good option for them. We create tools that enable them to understand the offering and its long term value. One of these tools is what we call "Smart Content".
Smart Content is a just-in-time sitelet that is customized to the category of product they are purchasing. It provides information on what is covered, differentiating benefits of Asurion protection, how it works and provide testimonials of people who are happy they purchased it.
The framework I created for Walmart Smart Content spans more than 20 different categories. It is a flexible template built in Angular JS that is easily adaptable to fit every category with minimal adjustments for quick turnaround. It also has tracking metrics built into it, so we can capture how customers are interacting with it. It is being used as the base for both Target and Home Depot Smart Content modules as well.
Over the course of a couple years, we cranked out more than a couple dozen flavors of Smart Content for Walmart. Categories ranged from baby buggies to coffee makers to big screen TVs. I spent a long time with the team taking into account of all the different product lines we needed to support. And in the end it was worth it because we had a format that could flex between very diverse items that Walmart offered protection on.
